Our Economic Empowerment Program
At Paul, Weiss, our commitment to economic empowerment contributes to positive economic impact in local communities and strengthens business relationships throughout the supply chain.
The economic empowerment program represents our commitment to creating positive socio-economic impact in the communities where we live and work. Each year, we celebrate and work to expand our economic empowerment program as part of our firm’s broader commitment to inclusion.
We select our suppliers by weighing factors such as inclusivity, cost competitiveness and quality. We are also committed to working with suppliers that pursue similar goals.

Our Certification Recommendations & Requirements
To support our economic empowerment program and goals, we maintain a database of hundreds of suppliers and consistently add more to our portfolio each year.
Although we have worked with many registered diverse suppliers, it is not a requirement to do business with Paul, Weiss.
Paul, Weiss strongly encourages businesses to pursue certification through one or more certifying agencies. Certification gives Paul, Weiss the assurance that businesses claiming a diverse status meet the business ownership and management thresholds. We recommend being certified by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council or the National Minority Supplier Development Council, or one of the other certification agencies below.
As part of the firm’s pro bono program, our team may be able to help suppliers with the certification process.
Certification Agencies We Recommend
- Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC)
- National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC)
- US Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce (USPAACC)
- National LGBT Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC)
- Disability:IN
- National Veteran Business Development Council (NVBDC)
- National Veteran-Owned Business Association (NaVOBA)
