Description of Program and Relief

Sick Leave

Oregon law requires employers to give employees at least one hour of job-protected sick time (time off work) for every 30 hours worked. The sick time may be used in case of illness, illness of a family member, doctor’s visits, or if a child’s school is closed by the COVID-19 public health emergency. Employers with 10 or more employees (6 if the employer has a location in Portland) must also provide eligible employees with pay during sick time.
