Description of Program and Relief
Temporary Assistance for Needy Families
TANF provides temporary financial assistance for women who are pregnant and for families with one or more dependent children. This financial assistance can help pay for food, shelter, utilities, and expenses other than medical expenses. TANF customers may also be eligible for other benefits, including telephone service and assistance with utility bills. These offerings were previously in place, and have not changed in response to COVID-19.
