On July 28, as part of the firm’s continuing commitment to engagement in issues of racial and social justice, Paul, Weiss held a virtual fireside chat with Chairman Brad Karp and Anthony Thompson, an NYU School of Law professor of clinical law and founding faculty director of the Center on Race, Inequality and the Law at NYU. The two discussed the important work of the Center and its Paul, Weiss Student Fellows, and the state of racial justice and anti-racism efforts across the country and in the legal industry.
In 2019, Paul, Weiss established a fund for 2L students to have the opportunity to spend a year as Paul, Weiss Student Fellows supporting the Center’s work to combat systemic racism and inequality. Last year, Paul, Weiss supported four Fellows; the second cohort of six Fellows will begin in September.
