ESG associate Lissette Duran moderated a live discussion, “Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) & Corporate Boards,” hosted by UC Berkeley School of Law and sustainability nonprofit Ceres as part of their co-developed executive education course, “ESG: Navigating the Board’s Role.” Speakers Esther Aguilera, president and CEO of the Latino Corporate Directors Association, and George Davis, founder of Digizeum and advisor to the African American Board Leadership Institute, participated in the discussion.
Lissette was also featured on the latest episode of the New York City Bar Association’s Building Belonging podcast, which aired on October 11. In “Building Belonging: Everything, Everywhere, But Not All At Once,” Lissette shares stories about how others have impacted her journey as a lawyer (especially litigation partner Ted Wells, but also Paul, Weiss receptionists; administrative assistants; and mailroom, reprographics and cafeteria professionals), how she has claimed a place in new spaces while embracing her identity and how she has safeguarded her sense of identity in the spaces that she chooses.
