Description of Program and Relief

Free Child Care Assistance for Low-Income Working Parents

Child Care Assistance in Oregon is available through the Employment-Related Day Care program. This program subsidizes child care for eligible low-income families. During the COVID-19 emergency, the Oregon Department of Human Services has increased the income limit for initial eligibility for users of child care (please click here for a chart of the current limits), and reduced the copay to $0.00.

If you are an essential worker, you may also be able to access the separate Emergency Child Care program (see Index of Available Resources in Oregon).
