Description of Program and Relief

Unanticipated School Closure Summer Food Program (SFSP)

Because of school closures due to COVID-19, Michigan’s Unanticipated School Closure Summer Food Service Program, which offers up to two free meals a day to eligible students, is operating at hundreds of location sites across the state. The Michigan Department of Education published an interactive map (accessible here) that identifies the approved meal services sites and provides each site’s address and the service days and hours. Please check with your local school division for additional details, including available distribution methods (e.g., grab and go, delivery, etc.).
