Description of Program and Relief

Illinois Connected Communities Grant Program

The Illinois Connected Communities grant program will assist local governments, schools, and community organizations with building broadband capacity. Grantees will receive a best-practices curriculum, expert consultation, and funding for initial community planning and capacity building. Overall, $150,000 in grant funding is available, with a maximum individual grant amount of $15,000.

Eligibility Requirements/Restrictions

Information on eligibility restrictions can be found here. Eligible applicants include political subdivisions, school districts, Illinois nonprofit organizations, Illinois cooperative associations, and Illinois limited liability corporations organized for the purpose of promoting community and economic development.
