Description of Program and Relief
Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)
WIC is a federally funded nutrition program for women, infants, and children. WIC provides: (1) eWIC cards to buy healthy supplemental foods from grocery stores; (2) nutrition education; (3) help finding healthcare and other community services; and (4) breastfeeding information and support. This is an ongoing program, and WIC remains open during the COVID-19 crisis. Though WIC has not yet issued guidance specific to COVID-19, families may be eligible if they meet general income and asset limit eligibility requirements.
