Description of Program and Relief

Temporary Moratorium on Residential Evictions

Governor Ige issued and signed a proclamation that, among other things, forestalls any eviction from a residential dwelling for failure to pay rent or other related charges. Renters are still obligated to pay rent and the proclamation does not protect renters from eviction for reasons other than non-payment.

On May 18th, Governor Ige extended the moratorium on evictions through June 30, 2020
