Description of Program and Relief

Job Assistance and Job Training for Dislocated Workers

WorkSource provides job search assistance and job training to assist individuals re-enter the work force.

On March 23, 2020, DeKalb County CEO Michael L. Thurmond ordered WorkSource, the County

Workforce Agency immediately to make available $1.3 million for residents who have lost or will lose their

jobs due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Eligibility Requirements/Restrictions

Individuals who have lost a job due to layoff or circumstances beyond their control.

Affected individuals must register at WorkSource webpage by filling out a simple form online found here.
