Description of Program and Relief
Health Emergency Leave With Pay (HELP)
The Colorado Department of Labor and Employment (CDLE) has issued emergency rules that temporarily require employers in certain industries to provide four calendar days of paid sick leave to employees with flu-like symptoms while awaiting COVID-19 testing.

March 11, 2020 to April 10, 2020 (or longer, if the State of Emergency continues)
Eligibility Requirements/Restrictions
The following industries are subject to this requirement: 1) leisure and hospitality; 2) food services; 3) child care; 4) education, including transportation, food service, and related work with educational establishments; 5) home health, if working with elderly, disabled, ill, or otherwise high risk individuals; 6) nursing homes; and 7) community living facilities.
Application Deadlines (If Applicable)
Unless they are too ill to communicate, employees must (a) give notice of their absence as soon as possible, (b) give notice of getting a COVID-19 test within 24 hours of being prescribed the test, and (c) provide any documentation that the employer requests by the sooner of either (i) the end of their illness or (ii) their return to work.
