Description of Program and Relief
People’s Resource Center
During the COVID-19 outbreak, the People’s Resource Center is providing emergency food and financial assistance for special hardships or unexpected needs, including transportation, utilities, and medical expenses. Pre-packaged food is delivered to the individual’s car at the Wheaton and Westmont pantries.

Wheaton Food Pantry: Tuesdays, 8:30 a.m.–11:15 a.m.; Wednesdays, 6 p.m.–8 p.m.; Saturdays, 9 a.m.–11:45 a.m.
Westmont Food Pantry: Tuesdays, 8:30 a.m.–11:15 a.m.; Thursdays, 5:30 p.m.–7:30 p.m.; Saturdays, 8:30 a.m.–11:15 a.m.
Eligibility Requirements/Restrictions
Individuals seeking food assistance:

Must reside in DuPage County;
-
Must sign up to become a client during pantry hours by bringing a photo ID and proof of residency (e.g., utility bill or rent stub), and completing a client interview; and

May receive food twice a month for their household.
Individuals seeking financial assistance may be asked to provide documentation of their financial situation to determine if they are eligible for financial assistance, which is assessed on a case-by-case basis.

The Westmont Food Pantry is located at 104 Chestnut Ave., Westmont, IL 60559.
To request emergency financial assistance, call 630.682.5402 ext. 323 or speak to an intake worker during a food pantry visit.
