Paul, Weiss Advises Lion Capital in Alex and Ani’s Chapter 11 Cases

Paul, Weiss advised British private equity firm Lion Capital, as secured lender and equity sponsor, in the chapter 11 cases of Alex and Ani LLC, a Rhode Island-based customizable jewelry company. The restructuring plan allows the company to reorganize its balance sheet, optimizes its retail lease portfolio and resolves major litigation involving the company’s founder. The transaction converts the company’s secured debt to 100% of the reorganized company’s equity.
