May 4, 2020
Firm chairman Brad Karp, litigation partner Bob Atkins and employee benefits partner Jean McLoughlin were featured in the latest episode of the Praticising Law Institute’s “Pursuing Justice: The Pro Bono Files” podcast series. The three discussed the severe economic effects of the pandemic on low-income workers; Brad’s call to action to Paul, Weiss attorneys; the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Resource Center; new pro bono initiatives to help those affected by the pandemic; and the abilities and obligation of lawyers across all practice groups to lend their expertise to help those in need.
When asked about the long-term effects of Paul, Weiss’s response to the pandemic, Brad says “I am hoping that initiatives like this that draw communities together and cross firm boundaries, and cross federal, state and local boundaries, will remain and people will work together more collaboratively and collegially.”
