Brad Karp and Bob Atkins Publish Op-Ed on Voting Issues in New York Law Journal

Firm Chairman Brad Karp and Litigation Department Co-Chair Bob Atkins published an op-ed in the New York Law Journal, “Democracy Itself is On the Ballot,” that sounds the alarm on threats to the integrity of our election process. With the November 6 midterm elections looming, the authors discuss the warping effect of gerrymandering and numerous barriers to voter registration. The midterm elections “will decide the legitimacy of our election process itself,” note Brad and Bob. “We, as lawyers, have a unique power—and professional obligation—to protect the right to vote and preserve the rule of law.”
