Pro Bono Clients Obtain Victory in Special Immigrant Juvenile Status Case
- Client News
- July 31, 2015
Kings County Family Court Judge William Franc Perry appointed a guardian for two Paul, Weiss clients and granted their motion for special findings, enabling them to apply for permanent residency under the Special Immigrant Juvenile Status statute. Our clients, 19-year-old and 12-year-old siblings from Honduras, traveled to the United States on their own, after having endured abuse, neglect and gang violence in Honduras. They are now reunited with their mother in Brooklyn.
The Paul, Weiss team included litigation associates Meredith Borner and Sana Chaudhry. Litigation partner Liza Velazquez supervised the case.
