Pro Bono Client Receives Favorable Settlement for Private Tutoring

Paul, Weiss achieved a settlement for a pro bono client in a special education services case with pro bono partner Advocates for Children. Paul, Weiss filed an impartial hearing request seeking resolution for the New York City Department of Education's failure to provide our client with a Free Appropriate Public Education, as mandated by the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act. As part of the settlement negotiated by Paul, Weiss during the pre-hearing resolution period, our client will receive additional access to school services, including speech therapy.
