Paul, Weiss Obtains Dismissal of Pro Bono Defendant's Misdemeanor Charge

Paul, Weiss, in partnership with Bronx Defenders, obtained a victory for a pro bono client in Bronx Criminal Court.
Our client was charged with endangering the welfare of a minor and misdemeanor possession of marijuana. Paul, Weiss filed a motion to dismiss the information as facially insufficient with respect to the top count, the endangering charge. On the day of the hearing for the motion to dismiss, but before argument on the motion, the prosecution informed Paul, Weiss and our pro bono partner that they were dismissing all the charges against our client.
The matter was handled by litigation associates David K. Kessler and Jonathan Fayer, and was supervised by partner Roberto Finzi.
