Paul, Weiss Obtains Civil Protective Order for Client
- Client News
- March 18, 2014
Paul, Weiss successfully obtained a civil protective order for a client. Our client had been beaten by the father of her son, and was seeking an order preventing the abuser from approaching or contacting her, as well as full legal and physical custody of her son. Paul, Weiss attorneys appeared before the Superior Court of the District of Columbia and participated in a negotiation with the father regarding the terms of our proposed order, which the judge accepted. The case came to Paul, Weiss from a new pro bono partner, the DC Volunteer Lawyers Project, which provided invaluable support throughout the representation.
The case team consisted of associates Norman Pentelovitch and Jacqueline Lueptow, and was supervised by partner Charles Davidow.
