Paul, Weiss Collaborates With Ukraine Immigration Task Force to Launch New Website
- Client News
- December 2, 2022
The Paul, Weiss pro bono and marketing teams recently partnered with the Ukraine Immigration Task Force to create a new website with guidance and resources for Ukrainians seeking refuge in the United States. The Task Force is a volunteer legal coalition of more than 100 attorneys, policy professionals and members of nonprofit organizations dedicated to helping displaced Ukrainians find safety and security in the U.S. It has established relationships with various refugee assistance groups and social service organizations to help newly arriving Ukrainians apply for benefits, find housing, look for jobs and find local support.
The new website, announced on December 1, provides guidance, webinars and clarification on key immigration topics in multiple languages, and informs the legal community, policy makers and the general public about safety risks and legal developments affecting Ukrainian immigration. It also features relevant legal updates, upcoming events, educational videos and current advocacy initiatives. The Task Force will continue to create and update content as needed. An early challenge in developing the website was adapting to the evolving immigration landscape while anticipating the practical inquiries from the public.
The Paul, Weiss team included pro bono special counsel Steve Banks, pro bono attorney Pradine Saint-Fort, marketing director Michael Eggebrecht and website manager Jared Steckler, and was supervised by corporate partner Ted Ackerman.
