Paul, Weiss pro bono client the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) won a Pulitzer Prize for Explanatory Reporting on April 10 for the Panama Papers probe. Our client was honored for its instrumental role in coordinating the efforts of more than 300 journalists across six continents in investigating 11.5 million legal and financial records leaked from a Panama law firm. The team’s efforts resulted in a comprehensive report exposing a global network of offshore tax havens used by hundreds of politicians, military officials and banks worldwide.
