Antitrust partner Bill Michael participated in a Global Competition Review webinar, “New York State Proposed Antitrust Legislation: What It Could Mean for Businesses.” The panelists discussed key aspects of the proposed law, which would impose an unprecedented state-level pre-merger notification regime and a waiting period requirement longer than that mandated under federal law. Other participants included Peter Bernstein, vice president, senior managing counsel, competition law, compliance and policy at Mastercard, and Martin d’Halluin, senior vice president, global competition law & policy counsel at News Corp.
