Description of Program and Relief
Paid Sick Leave, Paid Family & Medical Leave and Unemployment Benefits for those Affected by COVID-19]
Washington State’s Employment Security Department has adopted a series of emergency rules to relieve the burden on workers and businesses from temporary layoffs, isolation and quarantine due to the COVID-19 outbreak. The Department has also issued guidance for individuals and employers regarding the scenarios in which individuals are entitled to Paid Sick Leave, Unemployment Insurance, Paid Family & Medical Leave, and Industrial Insurance under existing programs due to COVID-19-related absences or unemployment.
