Description of Program and Relief
Consumer Protection for COVID-19 Related Scams and Price Gouging
Scams and price gouging often proliferate during a state of emergency, such as the COVID-19 emergency. Washington State’s Attorney General has cautioned residents that “[t]here is no specific antiviral treatment recommended for COVID-19 at this time” and “[a]ny claims that a product or service can cure, kill, or destroy COVID-19 are probably false.”

The Attorney General operates a call center Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., which may be reached by dialing one of the following telephone numbers:
