Description of Program and Relief
Grants for Small Businesses
The Commonwealth of Virginia awarded the Capital Region Workforce Board a $201,000 grant to reimburse small businesses with fewer than 250 employees for costs incurred that are related to COVID19. Costs are considered on a case-by-case basis. Examples of appropriate costs include paying for cleaning services so that the business can stay open or purchasing items to assist employees in teleworking.
