Description of Program and Relief

Washington County, Utah (St. George Area): The Greater Together Small Business Resilience Fund

Washington County is offering emergency loans to help small businesses stay in operation until state or federal assistance becomes available. Small businesses may apply for a 5 year, 0% interest loan up to $20,000. Funds may be used for payroll, rent and/or utility payments, inventory, or to upgrade digital tools to pivot business models. Repayment of loans will begin 90 days following the expiration of the municipality’s declaration of emergency.

Preference may be given to applications from businesses directly impacted by state and federal closure mandates.

Eligibility Requirements/Restrictions

Businesses must employ 50 or fewer employees; hold a current business license in a municipality within Washington County; be a for-profit or non-profit business in good standing with the Utah Division of Corporations; be headquartered in Southwest Utah; and demonstrate how the business is utilizing a new approach or tool in an effort to stay in business and preserve jobs.
