Description of Program and Relief

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)

SNAP is a food assistance program for low and no income individuals and families. SNAP provides money in the form of EBT cards (Lone Star Cards) to buy healthy foods.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, SNAP recipients will have their benefits renewed automatically. No further action is necessary, and recipients will be notified by mail when it is time for them to renew their benefits.
