Notice of Suspension of Certain Vehicle Inspections in Light of COVID-19

In light of COVID-19, certain inspection and testing requirements for light-duty motor vehicles and ignition interlock devices are suspended.

Eligibility Requirements/Restrictions

  • Inspection and testing requirements for light-duty motor vehicles and requirement for light-duty motor vehicle owners to submit a certificate of compliance relative to a vehicle's registration (if such testing and/or submission was required occur between March 12, 2020, and May 18, 2020) are suspended. Such requirements shall return to their original schedule in subsequent years.

  • Requirement for persons with ignition interlock devices to appear at certain times at the ignition interlock device provider for calibration, monitoring, or inspection of the device is suspended until June 15, 2020.
