Educational Resources for Students, Parents and Educators in Light of School Closures

Description of Program and Relief

In light of COVID-19, the Tennessee Department of Education has partnered with PBS to offer 1st-8th grade students up to 30 hours of instructional lessons a week. The Department of Education has also worked to ensure there is support for early literacy through a partnership with an early education app, ReadyRosie, which provides short videos and free resources on topics like literacy and math for Tennessee families with children from birth to third grade. Additionally, the Tennessee STEM Innovation Network has compiled a list of useful learning tools and educational programs to assist parents and educators with ensuring that children affected by school closures are able to engage in remote learning.
