Description of Program and Relief

City of Pittsburgh: Meal Distribution to Registered Seniors

This program offers takeout meals to seniors in Pittsburgh who are registered for the Allegheny County Area Agency on Aging meal service program. The program has been providing meals in a congregate setting to registered seniors since before the COVID-19 crisis, but in response to the pandemic, the program has now been modified to also offer a limited number of pre-packaged meals to such registered seniors. The pre-packaged meals are available through the program’s existing meal distribution providers, and can be picked up from participating locations between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
