Description of Program and Relief
Public Utility Relief – Electric and Gas
Certain electric and gas utility companies in New Mexico are suspending non-payment disconnects. To date, the following private companies have suspended non-payment disconnects: PNM Resources, El Paso Electric, Xcel Energy, and New Mexico Gas Company.

Effective immediately. New Mexico Gas Company has suspended disconnections through April 6. The other electric and gas utility companies have not stated an end date for suspending disconnections.
Eligibility Requirements/Restrictions
To participate in one of these programs you must be a customer of a participating utility company who is unable to timely pay your bills due to the impact of COVID-19.
