Description of Program and Relief

Family, Friend, and Neighbor Child Care Providers

In connection with the COVID-19 pandemic, New Mexico is temporarily registering new family, friend, and neighbor providers to receive child-care assistance funding to expand child-care access for families. Additionally, New Mexico is making available a resource and referral line to help families searching for additional child care find family, friend, and neighbor providers.

Eligibility Requirements/Restrictions

Applicants and all family members over the age of 18 living in their home are required to complete a background check. To be approved, applicants must also complete a three-hour online health and safety training and online CPR training.
