Description of Program and Relief

Suspension of Termination under SRAP and HCVP

New Jersey’s Housing Choice Voucher Program (HCVP) provides funding to assist low-income individuals and families in the private rental market. New Jersey’s State Rental Assistance Program (SRAP) also provides funding to assist families and individuals in the private rental market. As a result of the COVID-19 epidemic, both programs have announced that they are suspending termination of assistance under their programs for any reason other than those involving violence and/or threats to others.
