Description of Program and Relief
Suspension of Evictions
The Governor has signed an Executive Order 20-14 suspending evictions, suspending the termination of residential leases, and suspending executions of writs of recovery of premises or orders to vacate. In all cases, there is an exception for actions where the tenant seriously endangers the safety of other residents and for violations of a Minnesota law that prohibits, among other things, the presence of unlawful controlled substances or the unlawful use or possession of a firearm on the premises.
