Description of Program and Relief

Child Care Assistance Program

Minnesota’s Child Care Assistance Program provides financial assistance to help families with low incomes pay for child care. Although there is no specific guidance related to COVID-19, families may be eligible if they meet general income and asset limit eligibility requirements.

Eligibility Requirements/Restrictions

Information on eligibility is available here.

Families may be eligible for the Child Care Assistance Program if they have a low income, have children under 13 years old (or 15 if the children have a disability or have special needs), and have parents who work, are looking for work, or are attending school. Children must be U.S. citizens or have an acceptable immigration status. Families will also have to pay a co-pay each month depending on their income.
