Description of Program and Relief
Temporary Suspension of Residential Evictions
Gov. Whitmer signed an Executive Order that allows residential tenants and mobile homeowners that are unable to stay current on their rents to remain in their homes until May 15. This order also relieves courts from certain statutory restrictions to enable them to stay eviction-related proceedings until after the COVID-19 emergency has passed.
