Prevention of Electric and Gas Companies Shutting of Service for Residential Ratepayers

Description of Program and Relief

A shut-off moratorium is in place that will prevent utility companies from shutting off residents’ power until the termination of the Governor’s declared state of emergency regarding COVID-19.

This measure does not relieve a ratepayer of its obligations to pay for its use of utilities.
