Description of Program and Relief

Medicaid, Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), and MassHealth

In Massachusetts, Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) are combined into one program called MassHealth. MassHealth members have access to a range of health care services, resources, and benefits, including health and dental coverage for eligible individuals, families and people with disabilities. Information regarding eligibility requirements and applying for benefits applicants can be found here. Applicants can currently apply for benefits online at www.mahealthconnector.org, but in response to COVID-19 and to support the health and safety of MassHealth members and staff, all MassHealth enrollment sites will be closed for walk-in visitors until further notice. If MassHealth members or applicants need support or have any questions they should contact the Customer Service Center at (800) 841-2900; TTY: (800) 497-4648.
