Description of Program and Relief
Waiver of Cost-Sharing for Any Healthcare Visit to Diagnose or Test for COVID-19 or for COVID-19 Vaccinations
Maryland has approved emergency regulations which requires health carriers regulated by the Maryland Insurance Administration to waive any cost-sharing, including co-payments, coinsurance, and deductibles for any visit to diagnose or test for COVID-19. Cost-sharing is also waived for any laboratory fees related to COVID-19 or any COVID-19 vaccinations, once available.
