Description of Program and Relief
Temporary Cash Assistance (TCA)
The Temporary Cash Assistance (TCA)—Maryland’s Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF)—provides cash assistance to families with dependent children when the family’s available resources cannot fully address the family’s needs. While no specific guidance has been provided for those affected by COVID-19, families adversely impacted by COVID-19 should be eligible if they meet general eligibility requirements.
