Description of Program and Relief
Senior Call Check
The Call Check program initiates a daily call to senior citizen participants at a regularly scheduled time. If the call goes unanswered, the program will call the senior two more times. If those calls also go unanswered, additional calls will be made to notify an alternative person of the senior’s choice to encourage them to check in on the senior. During the COVID-19 epidemic, the program will also provide messages and updates regarding the outbreak. The Department of Aging encourages seniors to take advantage of this pre-existing program as a resource during the COVID-19 epidemic.
