Description of Program and Relief
Iowa Medicaid
The Iowa Department of Human Services provides health care for qualifying Iowans through Iowa Medicaid. Although no specific guidance has issued with respect to COVID-19, affected families may qualify if they meet eligibility requirements (below).

Eligibility Requirements/Restrictions
Applicants must be a resident of Iowa, a U.S. Citizen, satisfy certain income requirements, and be: a child under the age of 21, a parent living with a child under the age of 18, a woman who is pregnant, a woman in need of treatment for breast or cervical cancer, a person who is elderly (age 65 or older), a person who is disabled according to Social Security Standards, or an adult between the ages of 19 and 64 and whose income is at or below 133 percent of the Federal Poverty Level. Others who do not meet any of these criteria may still be eligible.
