Description of Program and Relief

Volunteer Assistance for Seniors and Adults with Disabilities

The City of San Francisco’s Department of Disability and Aging Services (DAS) has partnered with outside organizations, including Mon Ami and the Shanti Project, to create a volunteer network, which will match volunteers with seniors and adults with disabilities who need assistance with obtaining groceries, medications, and other essential goods during the COVID-19 pandemic and throughout the duration of the City’s stay-at-home order.

Additionally, DAS has expanded its telephone helpline, which is now available seven days a week to connect seniors and adults with disabilities with city services, including food assistance and home care needs.
