Description of Program and Relief
Small Business Grant Program
The Riverside County Board of Supervisors approved $45 million in grant funding for small businesses that have been adversely impacted by COVID-19. The funds can be used for (1) necessary equipment and operating technology; (2) inventory and working capital; (3) facility cleaning and restoration; (4) rent or business mortgage payments; or (5) employee retention and support.

Application is currently open through June 19, 2020 at 6:00 p.m.
Eligibility Requirements/Restrictions
Small businesses in cities and unincorporated communities in Riverside County are eligible. Grants are not available to small businesses that have received federal assistance (e.g., funding from the Small Business Administration Economic Injury Disaster Loan or the Paycheck Protection Program). Non-profits, illegal businesses, real estate projects or passive investments, religious organizations and adult entertainment businesses are not eligible for funding.
In order to be considered for funding, the business must: (1) have been an existing for profit business as of March 1, 2019; (2) have experienced adverse impacts due to COVID-19; (3) have a current business license from the city in which the business is located, if located within a city; (4) a business bank account; (5) be in good standing with the city or county in which it is located; and (6) have fewer than 50 employees.
Applicants must upload the following documents: (1) a copy of the city business license (if applicable); (2) a business income statement and balance sheet as of December 31, 2019; and (3) the names and positions of all employees.
The application consists of a grant agreement, a safe reopening plan, a federal tax form with associated information, and an ACH form with the business bank account routing information.
