Description of Program and Relief

Restricting Residential Street Traffic for Outdoor Recreation through Slow Streets LA

The Slow Streets LA program is accepting applications to temporarily restrict traffic on certain local residential streets for purposes of giving residents more room to safely engage in outdoor recreational activities, while protecting Angelenos from overcrowding on sidewalks and promoting social distancing. Slow Street areas are for active-use, such as walking, jogging, biking, and skating, by local residents only. The City of Los Angeles, Department of Transportation (LADOT) will deploy equipment and signage that explains the rules of the Slow Street. Interested sponsoring organizations may apply for a Slow Street here.
