Description of Program and Relief
Rebate Checks to Residential and Commercial Electric Customers
The City of Pasadena City Council approved a plan to issue rebate checks to all residential and commercial electric customers in the coming weeks. Under the plan, refunds will be issued to all electric customers in an amount equal to the Utility Underground Surtax for the two-year period from April 2018 through March 2020. Customers will receive a rebate check in the next 4 to 5 weeks. The plan also suspends collection of further Utility Underground Surtaxes for a period of 6 months.
