Description of Program and Relief

Homeless Services; Suspension of Parking Enforcement & Utility Shutoffs

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the City of San Diego has made changes to certain city operations including:

 Limiting parking restrictions and citations to holiday or Sunday enforcement regulations;

 Suspending all water shutoffs due to nonpayment;

 Suspending interest fees for late payment or nonpayment of utility bills; and

 Increasing homeless services, such as installing 66 additional handwashing stations (click here for a map of handwashing stations throughout the county), opening the San Diego Convention Center as a regional homeless shelter, deploying public health nurses to bridge shelters, and instructing all providers to increase cleaning at homeless shelters.

For parking in San Diego, red, white, blue and time enforcement areas will continue to be enforced to maintain public safety.
