Description of Program and Relief

Emergency Residential Rental Assistance

The City of Pasadena’s Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERA) is a new rental assistance program to help provide relief to qualified residential tenants financially affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. ERA provides grants for up to three (3) months’ worth of past due rent, not to exceed $4,500 total, to eligible applicants.

Eligibility Requirements/Restrictions

To be eligible, households must: (1) reside in the City of Pasadena with a current lease; (2) have proof of notification to their landlords of their inability to pay rent due to financial impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic; and (3) meet certain income threshold requirements.
