Description of Program and Relief
Temporary Statewide Moratorium on Evictions
On March 23, 2020, all four presiding Alaska trial court judges issued and signed an administrative order that, among other things, suspends all eviction proceedings until May 1, 2020 due to the ongoing “public health emergency” caused by COVID-19. The order further permits judges to stay pending eviction orders and suggests staying eviction orders for anyone quarantined for COVID-19.
